I worked very hard the last 2-3 weeks with a tough nutrition plan for me (1400+ some cals a day and a weekly cheat meal) and training with fresh full body workouts. Took a break from the heavier weights and dedicated muscles to just having fun outside while shocking my body and keeping the times short since was so busy. Intensity is key!

Was really hoping to lose another lb. in a week, and this morning I officially weighed in at TWO less! Granted one of those may be some muscle mass, but that was the reason I built the muscle in the first place - to burn fat. I love the physique I have with muscle but ultimately I want to lean down more and really dig into some of those stubborn fat cells. I only have 1 more lb. to get to my latest goal for the beach in 3 weeks!

The last couple of weeks I lost weight a bit slower but kept focusing on the work. That’s a must sometimes especially when you know what works for you.

Rock on,

a 126 lb (21 lost) Danelle.

Did some HIIT over lunch and finished up with 5 extra mins of steady cardio. Before I started I was curious about my upper body abilities as I have had a strange week of random but full-body workouts like plyometrics and cables. Makes it harder for me to judge strength than what I was used to with free weights. Did 6 pull ups without assistance! Felt awesome.

Last night I did a killer plyo workout that I couldn’t even finish. It was sort of strange, I’m not sure if I wasn’t fueled enough nutritionally or because it was late, or just a workout I wasn’t used to. Lots of pop squatting and burpees and stuff. Instead of super sets I had to rest between every single exercise to keep from fainting, but I pushed myself as much as I could feasibly do and know it burned a lot of calories. Sweated a lot.

Really cutting back my carbs today so I can enjoy my cheat meal of pizza tonight with my girlfriend, and probably some whiskey sipping too.

Tomorrow I start the last pieces of the Chevelle project and I’m STOKED to get that on the road… especially in my bikini top this year at the beach ;)

Rock on, ya’ll!

Killed it at the gym tonight. Heavy on the legs, and HIIT on the bike. Had a lot of energy for the long work day I’m still working on. SUPER busy day tomorrow but time to gear up for it and relax a little tonight.

Got my Century Club badge tonight on Foursquare for checking in at my gym 100 times! Of course, I’m the mayor. lol

At this point, 1 pound is a big feat since I’m gaining muscle and down toward a lower weight. It’s taking 1-2 weeks to lose 1 lb and I’m not obsessing over it. I barely weigh myself anymore but like to keep in check too.

131! One more lb. until my original goal weight. I will do it by this weekend, and then reward myself with all those fancy car parts that should be here!!!! :) Can’t wait to drive my ride at the beach muscle car cruise in my bikini top.

Have a great day everyone.

Finally got a good night’s sleep after meds from the doctor! Been keeping up with my training and nutrition this week but not as much cardio as normal since I just can’t. However, today I might try some HIIT and just take the high intervals down a notch so I don’t kill myself but can still burn some cals.

It’s amazing what a night of good sleep can do and it made me realize that sleep was probably more of my issue than even the coughing and bronchitis was during the day trying cardio. Hail medicine.

Definitely felt awful last night and barely slept cuz of it. Humidifier helped a little but I couldn’t get a deep rest.

Took a nap this afternoon then felt a bit better and got in my strength training. Did 5 minutes on a 15% incline treadmill and then my chest started feeling tight so I stopped. Just glad I got in my weights, and luckily I had a prescription inhaler waiting for me so that will help me to get back on track along with my doctor’s appointment Wednesday morning for it. Don’t want it turning into pneumonia, and I’ve had symptoms for a good week now as it is.

I’m thankful it feels ok during the day for the most part and the inhaler is definitely helping tonight. Going to continue to do my weight training as much as possible for now and eating clean. I’ll try to make up the cardio as much as I can later this week but I’m not stressing about it.

Starting week 5-8 split for the routine I’m doing, so I really want to continue what I’m doing but I will also probably do this split for 5 weeks since this week will be lighter on the cardio until I’m better.

Tomorrow I’ll be boiling eggs, and baking chicken and fish for the week ahead after I got some groceries tonight. Have some fun design stuff to do as well, and I’m thinking about some tattoos pretty hardcore…

I rocked my nutrition goals this week and weekend, and I feel awesome. Was even able to limit myself more than normal with my cheat meal. Usually when I reach that it’s the toughest part of my week. The nicer weather and clothes I’m wearing are certainly helping me to reach my goals and stick with my nutrition and workouts.

Had a super productive weekend so I’m actually ready for a new fresh work week. I just had a weird work week last week and wasn’t myself, so I needed a refresher.

Unfortunately I’m also battling bronchitis all week. Thankfully, it’s only been bothering me in the evenings and early mornings but it seems to be getting worse every evening. Looking up some medical advice on it tonight to make sure I don’t cause that myself.

Have a great evening everyone! Rock on.

On this beautiful sunny Thursday, I’m working on what I need to get done for work today and even for the rest of the week.

In the meantime I have fish and chicken baking for a few days ahead.

Going to work out over lunch so my evening with my hubby is open, and we’re going to order some big parts for my car upgrade for this spring since we did our tax appointment yesterday.

SO STOKED!

Yesterday, I was in a great mood with energy until later in the day, because I ate breakfast and skipped snacks until a late lunch (got a little too busy with the sunshine and my car). It was awful and set me up for a tired workout, even after coffee. I also discovered that I pulled a muscle in my inner hamstring when running on Wednesday, while I began my squats yesterday. Ouch!

Went on to romanian deadlifts, leg extensions and what I could perform, but just didn’t feel well. Once I got home I was starving for the remainder of the night and snacked wayyy too much.

I need to get groceries for variety again which I think will help, but we’re also without a microwave for at least two weeks which sucks more than I imagined it would.

I’m cutting today again to make up but just feeling sick of cutting calories. I’m going to have my cheat meal tonight so I can stop craving so hard and try to plan out some clean meals for the weekend. I have a lot going on so it’s going to be a struggle to make 6 meals two days in a row. Wish me luck!

Had a nice walk with puppy last night on a trail and in town, and tonight is legs.

I’m also washing, waxing and changing my oil in my ‘68 today so that will be fun in this gorgeous weather!

Made some decisions last night for the huge upgrades on the car before our car cruise in May. Stoked!!

I remember the days where I would completely dismiss the idea of doing both weights and cardio at the same gym session. Being there for so long made me give up and not care enough. That is why I also got very minimal results and yo yoed so much. I also just never committed to it as a lifestyle, obviously.

Now that I’ve discovered so many ways to exercise that is a structure that helps me meet my goals and no longer feels intimidating! My cardio is also rarely over 30 mins since I do 2-3 interval sessions a week and cardio 4-5 times total.

That kind of progress is mental but rewarding.

I’m so happy to wake up to a beautiful, sunny Monday morning. I’m back to the emails and planning my week out for work but I’m also trying to think about my fitness goals.

I’ve been continuing to do well, but this weekend I definitely went over for cals in addition to my cheat meal. And honestly it felt good. I’ve been cutting to meet my goals and judging by the scale this morning it isn’t really helping anyway. I must have felt deprived the way I kept craving carbs yesterday pretty hardcore. I usually can resist cravings but I also put off tracking food and workouts over this past weekend which also contributed I’m sure.

Started today adding in my workouts and breakfast to my tracker, and I’m going to really mix up my cardio this week! Cheers all.

I’m all about no excuses, but working from 8:30am-11pm without a warning, with a gym that closes at 10 sucks. I’m positive I will have no energy to get it in tonight at home, especially since I have no cardio equipment, and I have an 8am meeting.

I may do the weight part variation with what I have, and then make up the cardio over lunch tomorrow since it was my day off. If I didn’t have that option, I would feel stressed right now.

The truth is, I’m spoiled (but worked for it ;)

Cheers all, and happy fitness!

Me.

133 lbs today! Which means I will be seeing my original goal of 130 within the next two weeks at this pace! I know I’ll reassess and conclude that I can lose more fat but super happy to reconsider.
