I worked very hard the last 2-3 weeks with a tough nutrition plan for me (1400+ some cals a day and a weekly cheat meal) and training with fresh full body workouts. Took a break from the heavier weights and dedicated muscles to just having fun outside while shocking my body and keeping the times short since was so busy. Intensity is key!
Was really hoping to lose another lb. in a week, and this morning I officially weighed in at TWO less! Granted one of those may be some muscle mass, but that was the reason I built the muscle in the first place - to burn fat. I love the physique I have with muscle but ultimately I want to lean down more and really dig into some of those stubborn fat cells. I only have 1 more lb. to get to my latest goal for the beach in 3 weeks!
The last couple of weeks I lost weight a bit slower but kept focusing on the work. That’s a must sometimes especially when you know what works for you.
a 126 lb (21 lost) Danelle.
I’m almost done booking my second beach trip for this summer. I’m super motivated by the upcoming trips to keep up my fitness priorities! Vanity is not everything but it helps inspire just a little ;)
First one is the muscle car cruise at Ocean City, MD that we always go to in May and we’re working on some awesome upgrades for the rides so that will be awesome! That’s the trip that’s chock full of our best guy friends but this year hubby and I are getting our own room which will be kinda nice to spend some beach time together. It’s usually very difficult to stay on the beach believe it or not. We love cars and this cruise is so huge we’re afraid to miss some cool rides! It’s tough to relax on the beach when you hear cars burning out and want to chase after them in yours, etc. hehe
The other trip is my 4 best girl friends and is in June. Going to be an amazing and much needed time for us all! One of us is moving away this year so we’re fitting it in to make some great memories to keep with us always.
Whoever said being an adult sucks has not created the life they’re happy enough with. I was never able to do anything when I was younger or even a young adult due to finances but have worked so hard for all of this!
Just so you guys know… I got to under 15% bodyfat eating 7 meals and around/over 1500 calories A DAY!!!
Starving yourself and over exercising is not going to get you to your goal any faster. The weight you see dropping on the scale? That’s water weight and muscle tissue! You are just going to make yourself skinny fat and slow your metabolism. Once you’ve done this, the next time you start eating normally again, you’re going to gain all that weight back, PLUS more. This is why crash and fad diets don’t work! When you break down your lean muscle tissue, you slow your metabolism SIGNIFICANTLY which makes it way easier to gain body fat.
Be PATIENT. It only took me a few months to get in decent shape… and that was through HARD WORK. 7 meals a day consisting of lean protein (mainly eggs and fish), veggies (spinach, asparagus & broccoli), complex carbs (oatmeal & sweet potatoes) and healthy fats (natural peanut butter, olive oil & avocado). Plus I worked out 6 days a week lifting weights and doing cardio. I also drank a gallon of water a day and got plenty of sleep! It took me time and a lot of willpower and patience… but the end result was a lot better (and I was a lot more proud of it) from doing it through hard work and not shortcuts or drastic measures!
Fit and healthy is a LIFESTYLE… not a means to an end!
Home gyms can range from the very elaborate rivaling the best gyms and include every piece of fitness equipment made, or they can be as simple as a bit of empty floor space that allows you to do a body weight workout. The fact is, each person will probably have a very different idea of what…
I totally wear my short billed camo hat with pigtails to the gym on days I didn’t wash my hair. Cuteeee
wow, she looks great!
